Memorial Day weekend

The water has changed so we're moving the dock... Then maybe the drought will be over. We'll try to comb the gunk and make a beach too while we're at it!!!!!!!
Sitting on the dock, the old dock, Baihley and her friend had three beaveers playing in the mud and they took lots of pictures. Oh yes, they named them too!
A beautiful sunset on the lake. Notice the fishing pole. I was taking pictures, someone else was fishing. I used it for effects!!!!!!!

We took up the new Lund boat to the cabin. Here the boys are pushing off and heading out to the lake. The new boat didn't help their fishing efforts any but they had fun.

Eating outside; the only place to eat on a beautiful day at the lake. Tyler, Mom, Andrew, Aubrey and Baihley. For once, Mom got in a picture.

Oxbow park

Tyler played the last game of the baseball season; well as the coach would allow. He made a phenomenal play, last out of the game. Somehow I almost caught the incredible catch and throw. Had the wrong camera!!!!
Then we ran to Rochester where he played in the church softball game. He had fun; I watched 4 hours of ball. Perfect day for it !
Oxbow Park had their Annual Spring Fundraiser and in honor of Doc Zollman who passed away last fall, we took the mini's and people spent the day petting, sitting on and enjoying the horses. They had their pictures taken and did lots of patting horsie faces. Long day but fun.

Baihley talking while Rosanna is being petted.

Flash wasn't crazy about standing for 5 hours being petted but he did alright.

Mother's Day Weekend up north

We're not competing, but I caught the cutest!!!

The loon that appeared beside me as I was contemplating life!!! I have some incredible pictures even though I had the wrong camera!!!!!!!

The true fisherman reeling in his reel after getting back in the boat!!!

Baihley is looking at the water running out of Jim's clothes and laughing!!!!!! Yes, they went in after that, drank hot chocolate and got into dry clothes!!! According to Grandma Maki, the Grummon had never been tipped over before!!! First time for everything. I'm just glad they didn't go all the way over.
We had a great time up north. Jim and Baihley were in the Grummon. Tyler and I were in the Scanoe. We were just anchoring beside Jim and Baihley when the beaver headed off Loon Island. Tyler yelled, "Look at the beaver." I'm not sure Baihley understood the consequences of taking her body weight and doing a 180 in the canoe at the same time her father was casting off. The next thing I knew Jim was going in the water.. correction... Jim was in the water and I didn't have my camera out. Tyler told me to quick pull up the anchor. We were all worried about different things as it turned out. Jim, the wet one, holding on to the side of the canoe was trying to steady the canoe so Baihley didn't go in too! We all somehow forgot that Baihley rides horses and hangs onto all sorts of shifting saddles so she was the least of our problem. I was concerned about Jim; he can't swim. Tyler,,,, the most honest one of the whole bunch was worred about the tackle box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pictures tell the story except for the fact I didn't get one quick enough. Look on Baihley's face; she's hysterically laughing!!!!! And a true fisherman as he is, when Jim got back in the boat the first thing he did was reel in his line (no fish on the end) and then he looked down at how incredibly wet he and Baihley were. The clothes dried out today in time to come home.
Tyler caught the most fish, Jim caught the most water, Baihley got the biggest burn (she was supposed to be watching the fire not playing in it) and I got the best pictures of the loon beside me!!!! Enjoy!!!

Tyler wins award

Baihley and her friend Laura... sometimes they talk more than they play. Her retainer doesn't fit so she's enjoying playing without the retainer!!!!
Tyler enjoying a trombone fun song!!! Look at those cheeks bulge out!

Tyler was presented with the Band Directors Award for going above and beyond in Band. Cool!!
