winter in Minnesota

Johanna is playing basketball... well she says she's the best bench sitter ever. I go to the games and take pictures and have fun.  Here she is in warm-ups.
I have named him Wesley; he's the cardinal that comes each day. His wife comes too but she's not quite as brilliant.

 Festival of Trees
The day I took Tyler back to Des Moines was foggy and ice crystals were everywhere. It was beautiful. This picture was taken as I came back home up the driveway. It was about 1 p.m. and still the trees were beautiful.
A barn somewhere along I-35. Tyler was driving...

Closing out 2013 and welcoming in 2014

We had a wonderful time of sitting  by the corn stove when the temperature went below zero for many days in a row. Cold, frigid, freezing, bitter; any words you want to use simply meant ridiculously windy, wind chills in the 50 below zero range.  Thankfully all is well...
Porky has somehow become kind of a house cat..... and he loves it.

When the temps began plunging down in the below zero double digits with wind chills coming in at 50 below zero, we brought the horses in for almost three days.  They loved the warmth but did enjoy getting back outside when it hit zero!

 Hollidazzle parade in Mpls... beautiful

Going to get the Christmas tree... In the new truck
We found it... slightly irregular and of course crooked but matches us!!!!
